accommodate everyone. We meet at Newark Java every Thursday

Along the San Mateo Coast With Tandems
50 miles, 4-4.5 M
9:30 AM
From El Granada ride south towards Half Moon Bay then to Pescadero
on a combination of Coastal trail and Hwy. 1. Our destination
in Pescadero would be Duarte's, a quaint lunch place which
anyone would enjoy (so bring $$). On the way back, we climb
Stage Road which heads north towards San Gregorio, crossing
over two moderate hills and subsequent descents. At San Gregorio
you can refuel again with more food & drink at the General
Store before heading up the final climb on Stage Road that
hooks you up with Highway 1 and back to El Granada. We would
get the 50 miles, view awesome ocean sights, have a great
ride with climbs and descents, and eat good food; all in the
company of bike friends. Meeting place specifics: Twinberry
Cafe, 107 Sevilla Avenue, El Granada, CA 94018. Directly across
the street from the Princeton Harbor. Take a left at the lights
if you are coming from highway 92, or a right at the lights
if you are coming south down route 1. The Twinberry Cafe is
a bright yellow house with a turquoise trim and gorgeous garden
out front. If you get lost, just give them a call (650.726.9775),
and they promise to get you there. Sounds like a great breakfast
place, check out their website at http://www.twinberrycafe.com/index.html

My birthday falls on a Saturday this year, which I think is

Walnut Creek and Concord, then turn on Morgan Territory Road.

Back Seat Drivers' Monthly Ride
29 miles, 1-2 L-T, with a bit of M
8:00 AM
We enjoyed the Baylands ride so much that we are doing it
again! Meet us at the Milpitas Sports Center,
E. Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas, (corner of Calaveras Blvd and
Park Victoria) a repeat (with some new twists) of Sandy's
easy-paced ride through the Milpitas foothills Bay Lands Park
in Sunnyvale. We'll be stopping for coffee in the new Rivermark
Village shopping center. No one will be left behind, including
the ride leaders.
Directions to Milpitas Sports Center (formerly Samuel Ayer
High School): Take 880, exit on Hwy 237 (becomes Calaveras)
or take 680, exit East on Calaveras, cross Park Victoria and
make an immediate left turn into the lot.

Tour of Mt. Tamalpais, Stinson & Muir Beaches
50 miles, 5 M & B
9:00 AM
After assembling in Corte Madera, we'll enjoy a meandering
route up to the summit of Mt. Tam. From there, we'll try something
different with one of two options -- either a dramatic westward
descent down Panoramic Hwy toward Stinson Beach, or a longer
route over to Fairfax-Bolinas Rd with a descent into Bolinas
Bay, a favorite of many Marin County cyclists. Either way,
we'll pick up the spectacular Shoreline Hwy (Hwy 1), which
scoots alongside of the Pacific Ocean and takes us into Muir
Beach and the redwood forests. Bring a sense of adventure,
as parts of this ride could change-up depending upon weather
conditions.
Directions: Cross Richmond/San Rafael Bridge, turn south on
Hwy 101, take the Tamalpais Drive Exit in Corte Madera West.
Turn right onto Pixley St and proceed to Town Park. Call a
friend to carpool! The existence of coastal rain (not just
a threat) could change venue to Newark Java @ 9am for a local
ride, call ride leader to confirm.
