Reminder – Club meeting Sept 11 – Fremont traffic engineer to present

September 5, 2018 By Bob Admin Leave a Comment

This month, we’ll have Matt Bomberg, a Traffic Engineer from the City of Fremont:

“Matt Bomberg, Senior Transportation Engineer with the City of Fremont’s Public Works Transportation Division, will present an overview of the City’s Bicycle Program.  The City adopted an updated Bicycle Master Plan in July 2018 that lays out a comprehensive program to increase bicycling in Fremont through engineering, education/encouragement, planning, and evaluation.  A centerpiece of the City’s Bicycle Program is the creation of an “all ages and abilities” bikeway network.  This presentation was recently presented at the Institute of Transportation Engineers International Annual Meeting as an example of a best practice Bicycle Program for a mid-size, suburban community.”

We will also be electing the incoming board for next year. The nominees for each position are:

President: David Walker
Vice President: Glenn Kirby
Treasurer: Rob Tashjian
Secretary: Randy Fewel
Ride Coordinator: Dennis Dong
Race Team Liason: West Kurihara
Director-at-large: Jennifer Reungchai

As before, the club will supply food for members. This month, David Walker will be bringing in Burritos from Chipotle. If you plan on attending the meeting, contact David Walker president@ffbc.org for ordering instructions or check your club email for the direct link to ordering website. We aren’t putting the link up on a public site for fear of spamming.

As always, the meeting will be held at 7:30PM at:

Fremont Adult School, Room N6 (all the way in the back, in the back row of buildings)
4700 Calaveras Ave,
Fremont, CA 94538
