The Seventeen-Mile Drive Day-After-Thanksgiving Ride:

The weather in Pacific Grove was thumbing its nose at members of the Fremont Freewheelers this year. A large contingent of club members made the trek to the Monterey Peninsula anticipating an exceptional ride along the coast and into Carmel before heading to Point Lobos to feel the pelts of various animals that make their homes along the coast and then winding our way back to our cars and on to our much deserved dinner. While many of our expectations were dashed by the incessant wind and rain, our dinner (OK, lunch) at Phil’s Fish House lived up to its reputation.
