April 2006 Ride Calendar
2006 Progressive Ride Series
With Changeable Schedule
Truly Progressive
We are reaching the end of this year’s PRS. We lost two rides due to rain so there are some changes to the plans. This month we will attempt a PRS ride on Sunday April 2, then conclude the series with the Primavera Worker’s Ride on Saturday April 15. There will not be a PRS ride on the weekend of April 9.

8:15 AM 40 miles, 3, M & B
This is our traditional "1st Saturday of the Month" ride. We will meet in Downtown Niles Parking Lot and ride at a Touring, moderate or brisk pace with a Ride Leader for each pace. Rain will cancel.

Yes this is the Saturday Night where you need to set your clock forward one hour, “Spring Forward”. Hence even with some later start times on Sunday, it will seem just as early.
Sun. April 2 Progressive Ride Series #11
Mines Road to the Junction NOTE START TIME
8:30 AM 5 M, 75 miles
We will start at the Raley's parking lot, 5420 Sunol Blvd. in Pleasanton between #680 and Bernal Ave. This ride is an “Out and Back” through the wine country and Mines Road to the Junction of Del Puerto Canyon Road. There is a small restaurant at the Junction but other than that, the ride makes Calaveras look populated so bring lots of water and snacks.

We will conclude the day with a late lunch or early dinner at Gazos Grill while being treated to folk-rock, country blues played by the Lighthouse Band. Members wishing to skip the cycling and come for an afternoon of music can plan to join us around 2:00 PM. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items are available all day. If you wish additional information regarding Gazos Grill, find them on the web at http://gazosgrill.com/. We will keep the pace of this ride to an "M" but will plan to return to the Grill between 2 and 3 as the band is only there between 2 and 4. Plan for any kind of weather but rain will cancel. We will plan a short rest stop mid-way.
