Location: REI
Time: 7:30 PM

New Members and Guests
New members and guests introduced themselves.

Minutes
May meeting minutes were accepted.

Membership
Dave Ransom reported that the club has 402 members.

Ride Coordinator
Ron Mitchell was not present to report. June Pizza Rides will start at Pizza Patio at Liberty and Walnut.

Treasurer
Sydney Friedenberg gave the treasurer’s report. Some Primavera expenses may not have been received yet. Logan High School has not billed FFBC yet. Part of the fee for using Logan is waived if FFBC contributes to the scholarship fund. FFBC provided seven $250 scholarships this year. The club has chosen to award several small scholarships rather than a few larger ones. To qualify for a scholarship, a student must have a B average and 150 community service hours and write a paper on his/her future plans. FFBC chooses the recipients. The scholarships are intended to offset the cost of books, and FFBC is listed in the Commencement program.

Clothing Sales/Member Outreach
Molly Michelfelder reported that the club sent several cards in May. One went to Mike Williams who was present at the meeting.

East Bay Bicycle Coalition (EBBC)
John Goeschl was not present to report.

Bay In A Day
The Bay In A Day Double Century will take place on July 22, 2006. The club needs 3-4 volunteers for a rest stop at Warm Springs Elementary School. SAG vehicles and drivers will be provided. FFBC has been asked to provide shotgun riders for SAG vehicles.

Primavera
American Specialty Insurance contacted Primavera Chair Sally Wilson and asked if FFBC has riders designate beneficiaries. Sally advised that we do not. According to the event flyer, Napa Century riders must carry ID and insurance information.

New Business
Karen White suggested developing guidelines and procedures for making club donations. The Board had discussed this and would like to have a committee convened. Volunteers are needed for the committee. The committee will set guidelines. A second or the same committee will decide what organizations get donations.

New FFBC Jerseys
The Race Team is looking at a new jersey design with a new title sponsor. The club may want to follow the Race Team’s lead. The committee exploring jersey designs will need to decide. Club members will be involved in a decision to adopt a new jersey design.

Program
Richard Brockie and Garry Birch presented information on the downtown criterium scheduled for June 10, 2006 and explained that the Race Team needs volunteers for a number of tasks.
