Club Member Spotlight Jim Herman Jim Herman's experience at the Great Western Bike Rally
Who said all they do at the Great Western Bike Rally (GWBR) is ride bikes? They also find time to enjoy good food! This happy looking group, spotted Saturday night at the Chinese Buffet in Paso Robles, includes fellow Freewheelers Bert, Florence, and John Silver, Ken and Iris Goldman, Karen White, Ron Mitchell, Eric Dittmar, Gayle Tupper, and Kevin Mahana.

Shots of Karen, Sydney, Iris, and Jim at the GWBR. The weather was great at the GWBR for the three to four days of riding over the Memorial Day weekend. FFBC members joined cyclists from all over California and beyond to enjoy a few of the many rides offered. The rides ranged from short to long, taking the adventure-seeking cyclists to the coast, the inland desert-like areas, or the varied terrain around Paso Robles and its neighboring towns. It was a great time to get in plenty of riding and to socialize with both friends and newly found acquaintances. Editor's note. Jim graduated from San Jose State and had a nice party. Good ride, good friends, and good times; great reasons to be a Fremont Freewheelers club member.
