Sat. March 10 TOC Stage 3, Part 1 “Re-view”
9:00 AM 56 miles, 5B
The preview didn’t work out due to the wet stuff, but I still think it would make a good ride, so let’s give it another shot.
This year's East Bay stage started in Stockton, but I don’t think we need to be that exacting. How about Livermore? Let's start at the Albertsons parking lot at the NW corner of Holmes and Concannon. From there, we can take Altamont Pass Road (a fast stretch, if the wind is right) on our way out as far as the north side of Tracy, where we will join the official tour route up and over the KOM point on Patterson Pass to get back to Livermore. I plan to have one or two regroups and one BRIEF rest/bathroom stop in Tracy, but otherwise no-dawdling rules apply.
