BOARD MEETING MINUTES
FFBC MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Date: Thursday, March 1, 2007

Call to Order, Minutes, Introductions
Karen White called the meeting to order. February meeting minutes were approved. Several guests were introduced.
Membership
Dave Ransom reported that more than 300 members had either renewed for 2007 or sent membership forms as new members.
Ride Coordinator
Jim Herman asked for member volunteers to help lead the Progressive Rides in both the moderate and brisk categories with touring and leisure ride leaders also encouraged to participate. The drawing for the monthly ride leader incentive award was conducted with Lori Sommer’s name being selected.
Race Team
In Jason Sage’s absence, Gary Birch reported the season’s first major road race, Snelling, had been held with nine team members participating with best results in the top 10 – 15 riders.
Treasurer’s Report
Sydney reported all fraud charges have been reversed and the club’s old account can now be closed. Sydney also reported receiving several Primavera checks from FFBC’s Active.com registration web site.
Member Outreach
Molly Michelfelder was not available for a report.
Donations Committee
Jim Herman reported that due to a lack of space in the March newsletter, the vote to approve or reject the proposed slate of suggested organizations presented by the Donations Committee was deferred. The Donations Committee report will be included in the April newsletter and the postponed vote will be held during the April general meeting.
Primavera
John Goeschl reported that FFBC’s discontinued P O Box had inadvertently been included on brochures and would be changed before printing and being distributed to bike shops. A general Primavera planning meeting was scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 5, 7:30 p.m. at Mission Coffee. All club members were invited to attend this meeting with ideas and suggestions. In addition, April’s general meeting will be devoted to Primavera planning.

Program
Ride leader awards were awarded to all eligible members and an entertaining slide presentation was shown by Ride Coordinator, Jim Herman. Pedal pounder certificates of achievement were distributed to all members attaining a total yearly club mileage of 1,000 miles or more.

Karen White called the meeting to order. Minutes from the February meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report
Sydney reported all fraud charges have been reversed and old account will now be closed.
Special Board meeting to discuss the creation of a maximum dollar amount to be maintained by the Club was postponed. A new date will be set next month as many Board members were absent from March’s meeting.

Jim Herman asked for member volunteers to help lead the Progressive Rides in both the moderate and brisk categories with touring and leisure ride leaders also encouraged to participate as ride leaders.
Primavera
John Goeschl reported that he and Dale Blanchard, SAG captain, were working on improving the route sheets for all four routes to show altitude profiles. A Primavera meeting was planned for Tuesday, March 5, 7:30 p.m. at Mission Coffee.
Donations Committee
A report will be included in the April newsletter and a vote will be taken during the April membership meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 pm.
