Wei Sun’s Appreciation Letter
A year has past.
I appreciate the opportunity to have served as the club's newsletter editor.
I would not have been able to carry out my duties if it weren't for the kind assistance of those who helped in making the newsletter possible.
Karen for making sure that each month's ride leaders receive their appreciation for making rides possible.
Dale for sharing his breath taking pictures and charming stories about his adventures with Ruth in the Tibetan plateaus. Through his witty and vivid narratives, I felt the pain of his kidney stone attack, his frustration in seeing his tools stolen by the "Little Monk" and the feeling of warmth and friendliness he received from the people who helped him along the way.
Molly for taking us on her journey along the California coast with Mitch and her son Lou, as we read her journal and for allowing me to read two poems from her father, humorous yet deeply personal songs about the little details that make up the foundation of life.
Brad for showing us the wondrous beauty that our national parks enable us to enjoy, on foot or on a mountain-bike.
Joyce Levitas for her patience when I am late in submitting the newsletter drafts and for correcting all the errors.
And Burcu for volunteering to take over as the new editor.
After nearly a 10-year sojourn in the Bay Area, my wife and I have decided to return our family to San Diego Many more details will need to be finalized
for the move to occur, but all efforts have been devoted to that end. In the interim, I may still have to suffer through Tony's puerile puns.
My best wishes.
