FROM THE SUMMIT

Happy New Year...

The holiday season is coming to a close.  Shopping is done, gifts have been exchanged and my daughter has had her first Christmas.  We have tried to manage, with varying degrees of success, a home remodel, a leaky roof, termites, full time jobs, a cycling organization, helping develop a website, and what we believe to be the fastest 10 month old in history.  Although my mileage has dropped off somewhat, I am looking forward to the upcoming year and getting back to my usual schedule.

The new year brings a renewed energy and a clean slate to start fresh.   As of the morning of January 1, everyone will be equal in Pedal Pounder miles and vertical feet climbed.  What are your goals for the new year?  Do you want to increase your fitness?  Do you want to get back on a bike and make some new friends?  Do you want to do your first race or ride a century?  Whatever your goals are, our club that can help you achieve them.

There are several things to look forward to in the new year, one of which is the new website.  I know that it has been mentioned before, but the site is now finished and will be launched shortly. Because it will be a "living" website that grows and changes over time, we will need your help to keep it going. If you or someone you know has a great cycling photo, please submit it.  You never know, it may end up on the front page...

I want to remind everyone that now is the time to renew your memberships.  Perhaps you know someone who is not a member at this time but may like to become one.  This is a great organization and it is all because of our members and volunteers.  Without you, none of this would be possible.

Thank you all.

See you on the road...
