FROM THE SUMMIT
Greetings all,
It appears that the spring rains have passed and the sun is shining once again. My yard is drying up and the level of water in the pool is thankfully receding back to normal levels. Thanks to longer days and daylight savings, I have been enjoying many evening rides from my house up to the junction on Mt. Diablo. Riding in the evening provides a much needed respite from house and yard work. The temperature is perfect and the sun hovers low in the sky. The poppies are out and the cows pretend not to notice as I ride by.
With April right around the corner, one thing is certain... it's time for the Primavera! The Primavera is a great day for riders of all abilities. From the family with riders of all ages to the experienced century rider looking for a challenge, there is truly something for everyone. The Primavera is a great event, not only because of the variety of local roads, but also because of the experience of all of our volunteers. Without such exceptional volunteers, none of the Primavera would be possible.
Thank you to all who have already signed up to volunteer at the event. We are still in need of volunteers. It is not too late to help out. Please put the word out. Without all of you, this event would not be possible. For more information, or to register for the Primavera century, click the "calendar" link at www.ffbc.org.
Keep on riding and I'll see you at the Primavera...
