Volunteer for the Primavera

Support the Primavera Century

The biggest rite of spring for FFBC members is the Primavera Century, the club’s fundraiser on April 19 this year.  This is a great opportunity to do something other than ride with fellow club members.  There are many jobs to be done in support of the ride, including helping in the kitchen or registration desk at Logan high school, at the rest stops, SAG support on the routes, or baking goodies for the riders.  Yes the club needs your support, and Dennis Crovella has already sent out an email on February 7th with the volunteer form attached listing all the positions available.  You can also find it at www.ffbc.org on the front page in the Primavera section where there are links to both word and pdf versions. Please fill it out and send it to;  FFBC Volunteer Coordinator, P. O. Box 1868, Fremont, CA  94538.

We will also be at the club meetings, the on March 5th and April 2nd. In the March meeting we will concentrate on filling the volunteer positions and answering any question you may have.  In the April meeting we will go into more detail regarding the jobs.   If this is new to you, there are many positions where you can assist so don’t be shy.  This is always a fun team event.

There are also students for Logan high who help serving the after ride meal, and a portion of the income from the ride is used as scholarships for Logan students.  The ride also contributes to the clubs general fund, with some of that money used in support cycling causes outside of FFBC.
