BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Members Meeting of Fremont Freewheelers Bicycle Club

CALL TO ORDER
Gary Smith called the meeting to Order and welcomed new Club Members and Visitors.
REPORTS
Membership Report: Dave Ransom reported 338 members and 232 memberships.
Ride Coordinator: Jim Herman reported the ride calendar is open for April, ride leaders are needed. The Primavera is on the calendar April 19th. April Ride Leader drawing will take place in May.
Treasurer’s Report: Jean O’Donnell reported bank account balances and expenses for Primavera, Race Team and Jersey’s.
Primavera: Jan reported on the events progress - there are currently 472 registered entries. Baked goods - 79 dozen cookies and 49 loaves of bread. Worker’s Party week after event will be scheduled. Volunteers for rest stops are needed – rest stop captain break out sessions. 82 Jerseys were ordered – 52 purchased, there were several order requests after deadline. T-shirts are lime green for this years event. Registration opened Jan. 1st Fees $45 & $55, volunteers are needed, the start location will be Logan High, the rest stops need support. Rest stops include Coyote Hills, Ed Levin, Sunol Glen, Le Garre Winery, Paloverde. The lunch planning and preparation will take place at Logan High. The routes will be marked April 4th. SAG – need 4 passenger vehicles and bike racks. The traditional breads, cookie bakers and contributors need to fill out a form, each rest stop will have baked goods. Race Team: Carol reported there are 42 race teams attending the April 4th Altamont event. New race team kits arrive April 6th. New colors are red, black and white following the colors of Integrate. Carl plans to bring a kit to the next meeting. Brian Meiers is under going treatment, his reponsisibliites have been delegated to members of the race team. Race results will populate on the race team website.
Alameda County: Grant application process
Tour de Cure Event: - Bill with Lifescan presenting - June 14th 2009. March 24th kickoff meeting – Garden Court Hotel – Palo Alto.
New FFBC Website launched today: Send pictures to Jeff Girard & Mark Davis for posting.
Bicycle Garage: New location Blacow and Mowry

Jeff Girard called the meeting to order.
REPORTS
Treasurer’s Report: Jean O’Donnell reported bank account balances. Reporting included 2 CD’s and Checking Account Balances. The Primavera and Cinderella incomes and expenses were discussed.
Primavera 2009: Currently 458 registered entries. Proposal was made to better anticipate expenses. The race team volunteered SAG for the Primavera.
Membership: Dave Ransom reported member renewals are currently 338 members and 232 memberships
Cinderella Graduation: Graduation party Round Table Piza – March 28th Warm Springs.
Race Team: Carl reported the first of four events are scheduled April 4th – Altamonte and back. The team anticipates a successful event, currently 24 – 26 race team members. Carl is bringing a race team jersey to the next meeting. A Mountain Bike Race Team and East Bay coalition discussion to be continued.
Ride Coordinator: Jim Herman the April gift certificate raffle and gift will be given at the May meeting.
Brenda Gambina’s funeral took place today. St. Edwards school matched the $100 donation given on behalf of Brenda. A signed card from the Club will be included along with the donation.
Website and Newsletter. Discussion and proposal was made directing viewers to our Website.
The next Club meetings are confirmed May 7th 2009.
Club Insurance matter discussion - proposal is under consideration for shared responsibility of related expenses .
