FROM THE SUMMIT

Greetings FFBC Friends,

The days are getting shorter, and the nights cooler.  In some parts of the country, cyclists may have already put their bikes away for the winter.  Although we don’t experience the dramatic change of season seen in some places, I think we are blessed to live in an area where we can ride year round.  When we want to see snow, it’s not too far away.  We also have the option of staying in the Bay Area and riding.

This time of year, there can be more debris on the road than usual, especially after rain or strong winds.  Let’s all be careful and ride safely.

We have a great holiday party at the Jazz Café in Sunol this month, and we have Conni and Molly to thank for organizing it.  In addition to the dinner, we will have our traditional white elephant gift exchange.  I hope to see you there.

Memberships expire at the end of the year.  Now is the time to renew.  Members who renew by the end of December will be entered in a drawing featuring some great prizes.  Watch your email for more information on this.  Please remember to renew and invite friends to join.

Merry Christmas!

Happy Hanukkah!
