FFBC BOARD MEETING

DATE:  December 15, 2009

ATTENDANCE
Gary Smith (President), Nikki Grimes (Vice President), Iris Goldman (Treasurer), Lori Sommer (Secretary), Garry Birch (Race Team President/Club Liaison)

CALL TO ORDER / MINUTES
Gary Smith called the Board Meeting to order at 6:55PM and adjourned at 7:30PM.

TREASURER REPORT
Iris reported the balances for the three accounts: Bank of America Checking, Bank of America CD and Fremont Bank CD will post them in the Yahoo group for members to access.

JANUARY MEETING
Nikki Grimes will do a presentation on Grimes Getaways for the January FFBC General Meeting.  Come hear about the fully supported bike adventures planned for 2010!  Lori Sommer will contact Judy Young and request a Cinderella Training Rides status update.

EARLY BIRD RENEWAL
The board further discussed details of raffle prizes for members that renew their FFBC membership by December 31, 2009.  The raffle will take place at the February meeting based on the list as of 12/31/09.  Come to the meeting!

ADVERTISING
Gary Smith has received inquiries regarding posting an advertisement in our newsletter and website.  After some general discussion it was determined we might allow advertising (approved on a case-by-case basis) but further information is necessary before reaching a decision.  Gary will contact Burcu Alaybeyi (newsletter) and Mark Davis (website) for more information.  Iris Goldman will contact the tax preparer to see if there might be any implications. 

HOLIDAY PARTY
The board wishes to thank Conni Smith for planning the well attended Holiday Party.  The music was a welcome addition and the decorations were very festive.  Thanks also to Molly Michelfelder for organizing the white elephant gift exchange.  There were many smiles and lots of good cheer!
