FROM THE SUMMIT

Election Day is November 2.  If you are eligible to vote, it’s important to do so.  Regardless of which candidates or ballot propositions you vote for, it’s important to go to the polls or submit an absentee ballot.  If you don’t exercise your right to vote, you shouldn’t complain about the election results.

We still need a Primavera Chair.  It requires planning and leadership to put on this event.  If anyone is willing to lead the effort, we need to know soon.

Vikki Timmons has volunteered to coordinate the 2011 Cinderella Training Rides.  Many women have completed the Cinderella after gaining the confidence, skills and conditioning that the FFBC program provides.  This is a great program, and I want to thank Vikki for stepping up to lead it.

Conni Smith did a great job organizing this year’s club picnic.  It was a sunny day, and many members enjoyed the rides and picnic.  A few ambitious members rode 78 miles before the picnic lunch.

We have already had some rain this season.  Wet roads and debris can make cycling more dangerous.  Let’s all be careful and do our best to avoid accidents.
