FROM THE SUMMIT

I’m writing this on a rainy weekend when I canceled a ride I was scheduled to lead.  It seems like a lot of club rides have been canceled due to weather lately.  Hopefully we will have better riding weather soon.  Some members have not led a ride in a long time or have never led one.  When the weather turns warmer and drier, it would be a great time to lead a ride.  Think about leading fellow members on one of your favorite routes.

The Primavera club ride on April 10 is now open to non-members.  Andy Sass has organized a ride that will have rest stops and some support for riders.  Compared to our usual Primavera, this will be a smaller event that will not require as many volunteers.  It will be interesting to see how many riders show up for a ride with less support and a lower entry fee.  A sunny day will help attract more participants.  Please join me in thanking Andy for putting this together.

We have a new meeting location and day starting this month.  We will hold our meetings on the second Tuesday of the month at the Fremont Community Activities Center, 3375 Country Drive in Fremont.  The Board and Membership meetings will still begin at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM respectively.  Come out and see our new meeting location.
