I had the recent pleasure of being invited by a friend and FFBC member, Wyatt Wood to ride tandem and join up with Lori Sommers’ social Coffee Ride out to Livermore via Camino Tassajara and Collier Canyon.
There is a large turnout for this early autumn ride. The weather is fabulous; it’s sunny and warm. Lori and Ron do a wonderful job of keeping the group together and everyone is having a great time. The run along the quiet country back road on Highland and Collier Canyon is absolutely beautiful! The area is dotted with old farmhouses, ranches, cattle and horses. The rolling hillsides are very calming and mesmerizing.
The Bay Area; East Bay, North Bay, South Bay and the Peninsula are filled with many of these less-traveled roads and we should make a point to get out there and enjoy it. The landscape and scenery changes with the seasons and now is a great time to check out all the fall colors.
Thanks to Marcella for allowing me to share some photos with the club! For more photos and ride descriptions, please feel free to check out my blog; Ride Chronicles: http://yurides.wordpress.com/
