TREASURER REPORT
- Terri Yi reviewed the most current financials, including preliminary Primavera and Cinderella Training income and expenses. Both programs are doing well. Membership income is better than expected for this early in the year with 352 members and 269 memberships.
- Terri will post balances for the three accounts (Bank of America checking, Bank of America CD and Fremont Bank CD) on the Yahoo Group for member access and review.
RACE TEAM REPORT
- Chris Menicou reported that the Race Team currently has 53 active riders including10 juniors and 7 women.
- Recent Early Bird Criterium results: 2 wins, 7 top fives and 6 top tens.
- Time Trials scheduled: Individual TT on July 14 and Team TT on July 28.
- The Race Team will host the Primavera’s Winery Rest Stop that is scheduled to provide refreshment on the 100-mile route. The team plans to help with the soon to be scheduled locker cleanout.
RIDE COORDINATOR
- Vanessa McDonnell presented a plan to simplify the Ride Calendar by abbreviating the Cinderella Training Ride listings that are restricted to paid participants only. Next year these listings will be listed only on the calendar specifically for Cinderella participants. Only “Cinderella Redoux” rides that are open to all will be included on the regular Ride Calendar. The Board approved these changes.
OLD BUSINESS
- Newsletter: Conni will contact Newsletter Editor Marcella Casebolt and Webmaster Mark Davis about creating a test on-line newsletter page to the FFBC website. They previously indicated this was doable if it was not too much work.
- New club jersey design: Conni will also post an inquiry on the Yahoo List for anyone interested in creating a new club jersey design.
NEW BUSINESS
- FFBC jacket reorder: The Board discussed if the club should order FFBC jackets with the same design as previously ordered (red with club name and logo). These have been out of stock for several years. Club member, Nick Marshall suggested adding pocket(s) to the design. The Board liked the idea and will ask Ed Tanaka, Clothing Manager to research this and report at the March meeting.
- Sponsorship: Joel Davis, owner of CyclePros in Pleasanton contacted FFBC with an offer of sponsorship. He wrote that CyclePros “would like the opportunity to be your shop”. The Board discussed the options offered and was undecided. Vanessa will quiz Joel Davis about specifics of what would be expected from FFBC.
The meeting adjourned at 7:36 pm.
