- Thursday Night Training (TNT): 6:30PM on Eureka off Stevenson.
OLD BUSINESS
- Pedal Pounder Award and Policy Confusion: Vanessa has four past documents with different explanations as to which rides qualify for PP honors. She found that recording and tracking leadership on late notice rides, Show & Goes (technically leaderless rides) and in which month leadership took place, are difficult statistics to track for honors certificates. After much discussion it was decided that Vanessa, who has a clearer understanding of all the issues, will draft a new policy with greater clarity and present it to the Board.
- New club jersey design: Karen Barry presented full color variations of two designs she created. Vanessa reported that two other members are working on designs. This matter is on hold until the August meeting.
- FFBC jacket reorder: Ed researched manufacturers offering some of the features we would like in a club jacket. This matter is on hold pending adoption of a new jersey colors.
- Cycling Specific First Aid Seminar: Vanessa spoke with Denise, the seminar leader. She will provide us with a quote for a 2.5-3 hour basic bike first aid class for a group of 20. Denise also offered her company’s office on Grimmer as a possible location for the class.
- Club Picnic: Conni reported on several possible locations for the club picnic in October. The Board agreed that the pavilion at Quarry Lakes Regional Park, though expensive, was a perfect location. Conni will make reservations.
- Newsletter Revamp: On Hold
- New Meeting Location: On Hold
- Accident Report Forms: Conni drafted and distributed instructions to ride leaders on how to process accident report.
NEW BUSINESS
FFBC Board Candidate Recruitment: Two club members have expressed interest in running for president and vice president at the September elections. (Later, another member agreed to consider the position of Director at Large. Secretary is the only open position that currently has no candidate.)
FFBC GENERAL MEETING
[Due to small attendance (one person who was not there for the entire Board meeting), the General Meeting ran as a continuation of the Board meeting. All in attendance participated in the various Old and New Business issues. The May Minutes will be approved at the August meeting.]
Ride Leader Incentive Drawing
- Ken Goldman won the May drawing and Gary Smith won for June. Both will receive a $25 Bicycle Garage gift certificate.
The meeting adjourned at 7:53 pm
The next Board and General Meetings will be held Tuesday, August 14
