BOARD MEETING MINUTES

FFBC BOARD MEETING
LOCATION: Fremont Adult School
DATE: November 13, 2012

ATTENDANCE
Gary Smith (President), Ken Goldman (Vice President), Terri Yi (Treasurer), Vanessa McDonnell (Ride Coordinator), Jennifer Shively (Secretary)
The board discussed the following agenda:  Ride Leader Recruitment, Treasurer’s Report, Budget for 2012-2013, Early Renewal Incentive, Jersey Design, and Membership Renewal Meeting.
October minutes were approved.

Ride Coordinator
There was a discussion on how to find more ride leaders.  The board proposed a new incentive program for 2013.   All ride leaders would be awarded a pair of socks upon leading their first ride in a calendar year.  

Treasurer’s Report & Budget for 2012 – 2013
Terri discussed recent budgetary transactions including new Cinderella projections.  Budget was approved by the board and ready for vote by the general membership.

Early Renewal Incentive
Members renewing by December 15th will be put in a drawing for a $25 gift card.  The incentive will provide the club with a more accurate membership count to our insurance provider.  We anticipate the drawing to consist of 4 to 5 $25 gift cards from local vendors such as REI, Bicycle Garage, Chipotle and Peets/Starbucks.

Additional Topics
The board is continuing to look into online membership.  The project will likely be pushed into 2013.  There was some discussion on jersey vendors in anticipation of the selections of a new club jersey design.  Lastly, the board decided to cancel the December board and general meeting due to the holidays.

General Meeting
We had a fantastic turnout for the general meeting.  Terri Yi presented the proposed 2012 - 2013 Budget and it was approved by the general membership.   Four very creative members (Karen Barry, Marcella Casebolt, Jon Graff and Wynn Kageyama) came forward to present their jersey designs to the club membership.  After much discussion, a vote was taken and Marcella Casebolt’s design was chosen.  Kudos to all our creative artists! It was not an easy decision.
