Dave Martinez, past FFBC president, East Bay Regional Park Ranger, loving husband to Linda, caring father to sons Chris and Ryan, will be remembered. Read comments from current and past FFBC members posted on the club's Yahoo! Group.

Karen White, former FFBC president and current member notes,
"Dave was club president for one or two terms in the 80's and was actively involved with the Primavera for several years. He and Linda had attended the Great Western Bicycle Rally for many, many years and had a standing reservation with the Melody Inn in Paso Robles. Dave would lose himself in any conversation about bike restoration and, I heard it told that at one time he could have filled an entire garage with beautiful Italian bicycles he had lovingly restored. He will be greatly missed."

Sally Wilson, former FFBC president shares, "This is very tragic and sad news.   We enjoyed seeing Dave, Linda, and their family at the Great Western Bike Rally, and appreciated the uniqueness of the "multi-rider" bikes they always had there for their entire family.  During my time as President and multi-years as Primavera Chair, Dave frequently was supportive and had encouraging comments. Dave also always helped out with the Primavera route going out to Coyote Hills, as he was a ranger in the area.   The club will miss him - and Darryl and I send our condolences not only to his family, but also to the club in general.   What a sad loss."

West Kurihara, past FFBC club officer and current race team member, writes, "My heart sunk this morning when I heard the name.  Many of the FFBC club members were in attendance at Dave and Linda's wedding back in the late 80's.  A terrible tragedy!"
