The board discussed Race Team activities, ride activities, treasurer’s report, and general business.

145 entries participated in this year’s event, down from about 180 from last year. It was still a good turn-out and helpful to the team fund.

Tuesday Night Training: Meet at 6:30 PM at the Club Sport parking lot for a local ride and workout.
Thursday Night Training as always at 6:30 PM on Eureka off Stevenson in Fremont.
Team Membership
59 Total Race Team Members signed-up for the 2013 season.
Ride Coordinator
Vanessa has distributed 16 pairs of socks with 16 more waiting to hand out. There are lots of rides again this month so members have many choices to choose from.
The Show & Go ride is going to change one of its starting locations next month. Suggestions included REI, Mission Coffee, and Don Edwards.

Treasurer’s Report
Terri discussed the latest FFBC financial picture. Primavera showed a profit of $16,000. Some of the money will be used to pay for new canopies. Final Primavera expenses are not completely in.
The fraud situation is completely resolved. We have an overdraft on the old account and Terri will investigate.
Director at Large
The club has signed up for a larger storage locker. Ron brought a diagram which demonstrated a suggested layout of the new locker. Ron will send out an email asking for help to move items to the new locker.
Ron suggests purchasing 4 rolling shelves. Motion to approve purchase was approved by board.
1 bike case is currently out.
General Business

Lori Sommer presented the recommendations from the FFBC donation committee. The budget is $2,000.

A vote on the proposed donations will take place at the next general membership meeting.
CPR Training
Alameda County Fire Dept (ACFD Program) did not respond to an inquiry about a free CPR class after multiple attempts. The board decided to offer a one-time CPR class to all interested club members. The class would run 2 ½ to 3 hours and cost club members $20. FFBC would pick up the additional $25/person. Since there will be no July club meeting, we will hold the CPR class at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 9th at the usual location, at the Fremont Adult School. Ken will send out the information to the club membership. Members will be asked to mail the check (CPR class) by the end of June.
Next Term
Gary, Ron & Vanessa would like to continue their roles on the board. The others are finishing their term. The board will take recommendations for a nominating committee. Please email Gary if you would like to be on the committee.
Meeting adjourned at 7:35pm.
The next Board and General Meetings will be held on Tuesday, August 13th.
FFBC GENERAL MEETING
Patrick was introduced as a new member. The May meeting minutes were approved. Terri discussed the month end cash balance and indicated that an additional $2,000 of expenses is still coming in. West Kurihara was the winner of our $25 ride leader gift certificate.
Pedal Pounder Awards were announced and certificates were distributed to those present. Those not present can pick up their certificate at the August meeting or can contact Vanessa directly. Chris gave a summary of race team events and awards and indicated that they lost Cycle Pro as a sponsor.
The club would like to form a nomination committee. Please contact a board member if you know of someone interested or who would be a good candidate. We would like to create the nomination committee at the next board meeting.
The general meeting ended with a slide presentation by Laura Spano of the tour company, “Undiscovered Country”.
