FROM THE SUMMIT I want to thank the 2012-2013 FFBC Board members for their service to the club. Ken Goldman, Terri Yi and Jennifer Shively are leaving the Board after serving as Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary respectively. Chris Menicou, Vanessa McDonell and Ron Mitchell will continue as Race Team Representative, Ride Coordinator and Director At Large respectively. Please join me in thanking the 2012-2013 Board members for all the work they have done for the club. For the current term, Louis Friedenberg, Julia Walker and Bob Miller join the Board as Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary respectively. Some members avoid serving on the club Board. We should all appreciate the people who volunteer to serve as Board members. In a future term the club may need you to join the Board. We are approaching the cold and flu season. We take precautions to avoid them, but we can still get sick. A cold of flu might keep you off the bike temporarily but usually not for long. Get the rest you need, and you’ll be back on the road or trail soon enough. We will hold our annual club picnic October 19 at Quarry Lakes. There will be no charge for 2013 Primavera volunteers. There will be rides before the picnic and great food to replenish the calories you burn on the rides. Please plan to join the picnic. I’ll see you on a ride soon.
