SLOBC Lighthouse Century 2013

A group shot of some of the FFBC members who rode at Rest Stop One

On Saturday, September 28th the San Luis Obispo Cycling Club held their annual Lighthouse Century and over 30 FFBC members, along with some of their families and friends, traveled south to participate.  Friday night before the ride many of the members met up at Taco Temple in Morro Bay for dinner. The consensus among the group was that the food was fresh and delicious, as well as that the portions were generous.

The morning of the ride the skies were clear and beautiful, but the riders were faced with gusts of wind coming from every direction.  Fortunately, this did not continue all day and the weather only improved as the day progressed.  What the riders did enjoy was great view of turquoise ocean, scarecrows taking over the town of Cambria, zebras running about Hearst Castle, clear views of Piedras Blancas Light Station, lots of opportunity to eat and sample great food and good times along the miles.  A truly memorable ride and day had by all!
