Our Next FFBC Meeting is on October 8th
Meetings are regularly held the second Tuesday of every month. The monthly Board Meeting is at 6:30 p.m. followed by the General Meeting at 7:30 p.m.

We will be using room N6, which is a prefab classroom at the rear of the rear parking lot. Members should park behind the main building, as far to the rear as possible to be close to the room.

FFBC Members and their families please join us for the annual FFBC members' picnic on Saturday, October 19. The price per adult is $5 UNLESS that member (or family member) volunteered at the 2013 Primavera. In that case, it's free. Children 12 and under are also free. Parking at Quarry Lakes is $5, but there's no charge for bikes and walk-ins.
Mike’s Bikes Now in Pleasanton
Mike's Bikes is a local chain of independent bike shops. They have locations throughout the Bay Area and have recently opened a very nice store in Pleasanton.
As part of their program of supporting local cycling organizations they will now offer a 15% discount on all parts and accessories (but not on bikes) to all members of FFBC. Just mention your affiliation during check-out. The discount applies at any of their stores.
The Pleasanton store also has two weekly rides starting from their store:
The Saturday morning ride starts at 10 am. They are usually led by FFBC club member Frank Marquez who works at the store. There is usually a leisurely pace group and one a little faster. The rides are about 30 miles long.
Friday morning rides are “women only” and are geared to newer riders. They start at 8:30 am. Distance and pace are based on the riders who show up.

San Francisco to Santa Barbara Tour
Club members, Larry and Joan Roe, will be leading a BAC ride Sept. 5th through Sept. 17th 2014. The ride is through the organization they have done much of their bike touring through. The cost of the ride is $1925. For more information the ride check out the website.
