Call to Order
Meeting called to order at 6:40PM. The agenda was distributed.
Meeting Minutes
Last month’s Meeting Minutes were reviewed and approved.
Race Team Report – Chris Menicou
Chris presented the Race Team Report, which is inserted below. He highlighted some key points:
- Road season is over
- Going into Weekly Sunday training until January – good time to start riding with the team; 1st ride was last Sunday
- Early Bird criterium racing starts in January; racing will be in Fremont
- Next year will do two race promotions – Calaveras Time Trial in May and Cull Canyon Team Time Trial in July
- Season results – The team was in the top 20 out of 60 teams!
- 59 members last season – trying to increase next year
1. Annual Race Team board meeting highlights
2014 race promotions
Race schedule for the Calaveras Individual Time Trial.
o 1st choice: Saturday, 5/10/2014
Second team event possible, a Team Time Trial at Cull Canyon.
o 1st choice: Saturday, 7/17/2014
2014 team uniform
Garry made a motion to make Zavvy our 2014 clothing supplier. Chris M seconded the motion.
Kits need to be ordered by 12/15, so we have a chance to receive them for races in January 2014.
2014 sponsors
Possible new sponsors for 2014 need to be sorted out by 12/01.
2014 membership
Standard adult dues to remain at $145 if paid by 12/15. This is the early bird renewal rate.
Otherwise, adult dues are $160.
Junior dues will remain at $56 year round.
2. Race, ride, events
Top ten team results since our last club meeting:

3. Race, Ride, Event Update
Tuesday Night Training (TNT): Meet at 6:30 PM at the Club Sport parking lot for a local ride and workout.
Thursday Night Training (TNT): Meet at 6:30 PM on Eureka off Stevenson in Fremont.
Off-season weekend team training rides will be on Sundays to allow for other ride options on Saturdays. See the FFBC calendar for team rides.
o October team rides will be 30-40 miles, in a single group.
o Riders will split into A-B-C ability groups in November.

59 Total Race Team Members signed-up for the 2013 season.
Time for 2014 sign-ups!
5. Other Action Items
Send an explanation and a list of local races on Cyclocross racing to the FFBC mailing list.
Meeting Programs - Send a list of cycling DVD’s to the FFBC board to review for showing at future club meetings.
Ride Coordinator – Vanessa
Monthly Drawing for Ride Leaders is a bit behind, but will be done shortly. Was done at General meeting and email announcement went out later in the evening.
Vanessa M. needs access to website to be moderator so she can more easily manage ride sheets.

Shankar, our membership person is moving. Need a replacement person and need to move the process online so it is automated.
Director at Large – Ron Mitchell
Travel Cases: 2 hard cases and one soft. Typically seeing once case usage per month
New Board Members – Gary Smith
Will be putting new board members up under the “About Us” tab on the website. Gary will send Mark Davis contact info to update the information.
Treasurer (Outgoing) – Terri Yi
Have strong cash balance, and projecting slight loss next year (2013-2014) based on very conservative Primavera results. Terri expects it to do better and see no loss.
Budget – Terri Yi
Budget was reviewed with a few questions on some of the numbers.
Chris requested to increase the donation to the Race Team from $3100 to $4000. The motion has some discussion and then Vanessa seconded it. It was voted and passed unanimously.
It was noted that there was a $2000 donation that had been scheduled for last fiscal year (2012-2013). It hasn’t been done yet, so it will be added to the 2013-2014 year’s budget. Since there is already $2000 on that budget line item, it will be adjusted to $4000, for this year’s budget only.
Motion to accept budget put out by Bob M. Seconded by Chris M. It was unanimously approved. The budget will be presented at the November General Meeting for all members to approve.
The Board Meeting was adjourned at 7:27PM
FFBC GENERAL MEETING
Meeting opened at 7:35PM.
Asked if there were any changes or corrections to the prior months minutes. No issues.
Next issue mentioned was how to increase attendance at the general meeting. Ideas were:
- Create a swap meet/sales event
- Race Team slide shows
- Movie night/presentation by other members as slide shows
Terri Yi gave report on financials. Chris M reviewed Race Team Report. He also mentioned Cyclocross season has started. Although no one on the team is involved he will send out a list of races in the area if anyone is interested.
Vanessa announced ride leader winners for June (Tim O’Hara), August (John Dickens) and September (Cindy Maxwell). She reminded everyone of the Beer Ride for 10/27. Vannessa also wants to be a Moderator on the website so that she can manage route sheets – this will be sorted out with the webmaster.
Conni reviewed 10/19 Club picnic status . She will be sending out a last announcement and headcount request by email soon. 61 people have signed up.
Conni also mentioned that we need someone to take on the Holiday party.
8PM – Conni motioned that the meeting be adjourned. Ron seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned.
