Breaking the Cinderella into two groups went very well.

  • The coaching group of brand new riders all finished and were very happy.
  • Hoping that the conditioning group will continue to ride.

Has club business cards to distribute to anyone who would like to use them.
Pedal Pounders information from last year is almost done.

Director-at-Large – Ron Mitchell
Supplied food for the meeting.
No case rentals.
Preparing for Primavera.

Treasury Report – Julia
Lots of Primavera activity – both income and expenses. Reconciling Primavera’s group budget versus club budget. This year we are using food trucks versus renting the kitchen – more choices, and only slightly more expensive
Purchasing checks – everyone supported Julia’s decision to get 500.

Membership – Becky
Membership: 318 (306 last month)
Members: 442 (428 last month)
3 registrations waiting for payment
One Quarter of the way to the Primavera goal on breads and cookies – NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS

General Discussion - Gary
Flyers – the club will not be printing any more – use business cards instead
Family Membership definition – after much discussion feel that the definition should include “at a single address”, and that will suffice. At some point this will be put to a club membership vote to update the bylaws.
More discussion on Life Members: determined we need to add to add a deceased notation in the database. Vanessa will talk to Mark about it.
Movie at May meeting – proposing “Breaking Away”

Earth Day event on April 26th , 11AM to 3PM – anyone interested in setting up a booth? There was no response from the audience. If anyone is interested contact Gary. Bike East Bay will be there with a Bike Rodeo.
Niles Discovery Church is looking for safety items – reflectors, rear lights, etc. Many members brought things to the meeting. A member of the church spoke about the event and passed out posters – targeted to support farm and nursery workers. There will be a bike blessing associated with a church event on 4/26.
Terri Yi showed the new jerseys.

Presentation - Dale Blanchard
Dale gave a presentation on setting up and using the latest Garmin 800 & 810 devices. There was a very good turn out with a number of new faces present, so obviously there was a lot of interest. There were a lot of detailed questions about using the device and about the various device modes.
