FROM THE SUMMIT
I’m happy to report that this is my last From the Summit message. Luis Facha is our new President. I’m glad he stepped up to serve the club, and I wish him well as President. The new Board already has programs lined up for the October, November and January club meetings, and this should improve the attendance.
I look forward to riding more. I joined the club to ride. As a Board member, I sometimes spent time on matters that did not seem to have much to do with getting on a bike and riding with my friends. I look forward to seeing you on more rides, when I get up early enough to join a club ride. As some of you know, I’m not much of a morning person, so I often ride on my own later in the day rather than get up for a club ride. If I’m familiar with the route, I sometimes start later, take a shortcut and join a club ride in progress.
Our club is growing. We have more than 500 members, and about 60 are Race Team members. I’m sure the new Board will find ways to propel the club to greater growth and attract younger members.
The club needs a new Newsletter Editor. After years of service, Marcella would like to step down. If you are interested in becoming the FFBC Newsletter Editor, please let Luis know.
I look forward to seeing you at the club picnic on October 18.
Thank you for all your support during my tenure as President.

Gary
President, FFBC
