Call to Order
Meeting called to order by Luis at 6:55 PM. Trish Conklin provided and setup awesome refreshments.

Meeting Minutes
Bob M asked if there were any questions or changes needed on the previous month's minutes – none were brought up. They were approved.

Race Team Report – Chris Menicou
Chris reviewed the Race Team highlights last month:
  • In the Cyclo-Cross season. Have a new member from Dallas who is a Cyclo-cross racer. He participated in the Candlestick Point Night Cross race and got a 7th place.
  • There are now 70 team members due to more juniors signing up
  • Reminder on Tuesday and Thursday night training
  • November is team rides as A, B and C groups. A little more intense. Del Valle, Patterson Pass, Cross Road area.
  • Early Bird Criterium in January

Chris provided the following race team results later by email. This is for October events.

1. Team Fremont Race Updates  - Top Ten Results:

  • Nov. 9th Sierra Point Night Cross (Cyclocross), Candlestick Point, San Francisco - Jacob Salassi Cat. B Men – 7th

2.  Training and Event Update

  • Tuesday Night Training (TNT):  Meet at 6:15 PM at the Club Sport Fremont parking lot for a local ride and hill climbing workout.
  • Thursday Night Training (TNT): Meet at 6:15 PM on Eureka off Stevenson in Fremont for Criterium workout.
  • November Team Training Rides are underway and are organized by ability with harder and/or longer rides scheduled. Check the FFBC Ride Calendar for more details.

3.  Team Target Events:

  • The Road Bike Season is Complete for 2014.
  • Informal “Low Key Hill Climb” events are taking place now with some Team Fremont members participating.
  • Early Bird Criterium Racing starts the first Sunday in January. Located at Dumbarton Circle (between the Bridge and Coyote Hills).

4. Team Membership

  • There are approximately 70 Total Race Team Members queued-up for the 2015 season.
  • 2015 Team Dues and Membership are due as of November 1st. The cost of joining the team increases after December 15th (to $160.00 annually).

Treasury Report – Julia Walker
We got a thanks from all groups the club donated to except the Niles Railroad.
Club dues due by 12/1.
Expenses:

Ride leader incentive outlays at $320 so far. The board said we would do this for 3 months and then review. So we’ll do it thru December and then review at the January meeting.

Holiday Party – updated budget to include change: Reducing member admission cost to $10.

Ride Coordinator – Dave Fishbaugh
Dave and Jim are continuing to look at ride calendar improvements. They are presently looking at cleaning up the ride leader submission form to make processing easier for the ride coordinator.
Black Friday Ride – there is no ride leader. Looking for volunteers.
Rider Compensation – review at January meeting.

General Discussion - Luis Facha
For next meeting submit suggestions for agenda items to Luis F 2-3 weeks before meeting. He will collect and include in the meeting agenda. Luis will also manage the General meeting “event” – i.e. presenter, movie, etc. He will announce 1 and 2 weeks before the meeting so members are forewarned.
Luis will confirm speaker for January meeting – owner of new bike shop in Warm Springs area.

At 7:30PM Dave F put in a motion to adjourn. Chris seconded. Meeting was adjourned.

There is no December Meeting.

 

FFBC GENERAL MEETING

Due to the fact the school meeting room was closed because of the holiday, Luis sent out a General Meeting cancellation announcement. The General meeting was not held.
The main agenda item for the General Meeting was to be the budget approval. Because there is no December meeting the Budget will be voted on at the January General Meeting.

There is no December Meeting.
