Call to Order:

Meeting called to order at 7:35 PM. Previous meeting minutes were approved.

 

There were no other club members present, so no presentation was made. For documentation purposes the notes from the Board meeting are added below.

There are 485 members and 360 memberships.

Race Team Report – Chris Menicou:

Our team has done very well over the last two months. Lots of top ten finishes again. Chris sent the following summary after the meeting:

2. Training and Event Update
   1. Tuesday Night Training (TuNT):  Meet at 6:15 PM at Genmark Automation (Warren and 46723 Lakeview) for a local ride and hill climbing workout.
   2. Wednesday Night Training (WNT) Meet at 6:15 PM on Eureka & Stevenson (parking lot) in Fremont for training and mentoring on the basics of racing.
   3. Thursday Night Training (TNT): Meet at 6:15 PM on Eureka & Stevenson (parking lot) in Fremont for 4-corner Criterium workouts.

 

3. Team Target Events for 2016
   1. Team Target Events for Road Racing in 2016:
      • 1) Giro di San Francisco Criterium – September 5^th – Final for the team in 2016

4. Team Membership
   1. Current Roster 62 Members (who are Freewheelers), including 9 Juniors, 6 Ladies

Director-at-Large – Trish Conklin

No boxes going out till October.

Food was provided again tonight but unfortunately I did not record it.

Treasurer – Julia Walker

Income: Some income from memberships and clothing.

Expenses: Pizza Rides, website, Ride Leader Party.

Ride Coordinator – Dave Fishbaugh

Ride Leader Parties – Second Ride Leader Party held

1. Third in row at same place
2. Attendance was a little low probably because of other ride conflicts
3. Budgeted for 50 and about 30 people attended

Ride Leader Parties – Budgeted about $2k for the year and have used only about $1.2k

The next party will be in mid-January.

Dave may request help in future managing the party.

Sept Calendar – Dave will do first draft and Vanessa McDonnell will finalize. Dave is off on a trip to Alaska.

August was a slow month for rides.

Julia put some rides on club’s RidewithGPS site. We need to push all ride leaders to do that.

General Discussion – new business:

Website: Moving along reasonably well. Target “go live” date is Oct 1^st. Issues being focused on:

Next Sept meeting is election night for the Board, so we need more volunteers.

Sept meeting presentation. After the meeting Dave F announced the following presentations:

1. Tom Giles & Company: Oregon bike trip
2. Mike Christopherson (and possibly Laura Spano): Will discuss their BAC trip from Calgary to Jasper, in Alberta Canada.
