Treasury Report – Julia Walker:
Julia reported $57k in the bank. Julie Gilson suggested getting setup on Square/Paypal for credit card payments at the Primavera – to allow for more convenient sales.
We got a thank you note from Adobe for our donation to allow them to purchase bicycle safety equipment for their residents.
Julia reported $57k in the bank. Last month’s spending was the Adobe donation. There was some minor income – clothing.
The Club will vote on the budget at the November meeting.
Ride Coordinator – Dave Fishbaugh:
Dave gave a little background on his experience with the Niles Canyon “Roll-n-Stroll” (closed to car traffic). He met with Scott Haggerty, who said he was delighted with the turnout. Bike path plan looks like ti will be $60-100M. Scott felt there were sources for money in county and others.
Dave asked if the FFBC should take a larger role. There was no strong support for that idea.
Dave is part of the county wide bike commission. He will update the Board on the activities.
Membership – Becky Denevan:
Becky announced that there are 539 members and 406 memberships. She also announced that the picnic is in two weeks (Oct 24) and there are 85 “yes” and 42 “no” so far, and 318 no answer.
General Discussion:
Eve Ben-Ora was introduced as the new editor of the newsletter.
Julia setup and sold old stock of jerseys, arm warmers and socks. We had a lot of activity.
