Five popular Bay Area food trucks will cater our after-the-ride meals this year. And they’ll have vegetarian options. As before, the meals will be supplemented with drinks and desserts too!
Registration is now closed. Thanks to all the registrants, the Primavera Century has reached the 1,000 rider limit!
You’ve registered but can’t make the ride? Sorry we’ll miss you! The registration fee can not be refunded, but you can transfer your registration at no fee. Go to the Transfer Tab to download the Transfer Form. Note that a good place to find people looking to buy or sell is Craigslist or our Facebook page.
Niles Canyon Railway modified their April schedule for us and will be running the Robert Dollar Steam Locomotive (depicted on this year’s jersey) on the day of our event! At the Sunol rest stop you can ride over to the train station and get your picture taken in your 2015 jersey next to the steam train! Check train schedules to find out when the train will be at the Sunol Station.
No problem – we’ve got you covered!
The Fremont Freewheelers Bicycle Club (FFBC) offers three training series to get you in shape for the spring centuries.
Our Progressive Ride Series (PRS) is designed to get riders in condition to do a full century. For riders planning to do the metric century, the Less Aggressive Progressive Ride Series (LAP) will provide progressive training at a slower pace (T-M) toward a metric century. The LAP series runs concurrently with the PRS.
And if that’s not enough, the Club reprises its annual Cinderella Series in preparation for the Cinderella Classic, an annual event sponsored by the Valley Spokesmen. This year we’ve split the series into two groups, the “Coaching Series” is for new women riders (sorry, no men) and the “Conditioning Series” is open to all club members. The Conditioning Series will progress to a metric century a little more gently than the LAP rides.
All three series start in mid-January with shorter and flatter rides that gradually build up to a full or metric centuries in April.
And the series are free to FFBC members, so JOIN TODAY!
